ABOUT

Ilikwa Solar is a 50 MW solar PV facility in South Africa’s sunny Free State Province. The project pioneers the country’s Renewable Energy Supply Agreements (RESAs) – a flexible, short-term alternative to traditional power purchase agreements (PPAs)– enabling commercial and industrial clients to secure clean energy on scalable terms.

Construction commenced in October 2024, with operations set to start in early 2026. Once online, Ilikwa Solar will generate 141 GWh of clean electricity per year – enough to power over 42,000 homes and avoid 100,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.
